Last week, I visited the exhibition "Matter of action" at Ò, a very beautiful place in the quartiere Isola, in Milan. The exhibition presents many pieces collected in the sixties and the seventies by Giorgio Maffei, famous 20th century art collector. The wall is all covered with hundreds of photographs relating various performances, fragments of evidences telling that instants when the artists were choosing to bring their body into play. The photographs are presented reminding inquiry evidences which to me is a very relevant way to exhibit these fragments of artistic actions. Among many others I recognized: Gina Pane, Piero Manzoni, Marina Abramovic and Ulay, Meredith Monk, Giuseppe Penone, Nam June Paik, Yves Klein, Yoko Ono, Joseph Beuys.
